Miranda Lopatkin
Lopatkin is showing a selection of photographic prints that show
old family slides projected onto various spaces within her family
home. In some cases the architecture of the building is seen as
if it is protruding through the pictures. In all cases the present
domestic space is penetrated with images that were taken over thirty
years ago.
The concerns of the work are the domestic environments and the memories
that are silent or hidden - that is until someone brings them forth.
Each image captures a sense of fragility with the transparent figures
often broken up by an opaque background.
