MacCorquodale's film Waiting for the Day is the result of a number of visits to the Welsh resort of Rhyl. The work captures the nostalgia and romanticism of a once thriving holiday destination contrasting that with the reality of actual experience when faded grandeur meets day-to-day deprivation.
Sophie MacCorquodale studied at Goldsmiths College and Manchester Metropolitan University.
