Ruth Calland

Ruth Calland's performances involve complex set-ups underpinned by psychological themes. For O Dreamland she will be appearing in the guise of her alter-ego Dame Batlove (see pictures above) who will be performing psychic sessions in a marquee on the beach with the help of paint and fortune telling fish.

Dame Batlove will be appearing at O Dreamland on Sat 25 and Mon 27 Aug. See programme for more details.

Ruth Calland studied at Birkbeck College, Chelsea School of Art and Lanchester Polytechnic, Coventry. Recent performances include 'Professor Timecreep Demonstrates The Love of a Television for its Memories' at Three Colts, London and 'Professor Timecreep's Academy of Re-Wiring' at the Vestry House Museum, London. Exhibitions include The Marmite Prize, The Residence, London and Through the Looking Glass, Three Colts, London.
