Rowe manipulates decorative objects, splicing together disparate forms to create new pieces. For O Dreamland he has re-made ladylike figurines complete with diving helmets as well as creating a beach of handcrafted shingle. His passion for the seaside's visual culture continues with his series of photographs documenting the demise of Folkestone's Rotunda funfair over the past five years, Where Has all the Good Time Gone which will be showing at Folkestone's B&B Project Space.
Matthew Rowe studied at University of Wales Institute, Cardiff, Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College and Canterbury College. Recent exhibitions include The Club Shepway Annual Seaside Review at B&B Project Space, Folkestone.
