Cathy Lomax's work centres on ideas around fame and mythology and its juxtaposition with the everyday, secrets and personal identity. For Blanc Noir she has studied the many cultural occurrences of the Afro, charting its appearance on heads from Kathleen Cleaver to Madonna.
