Born in North Wales and studied Fine Art at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne and the University of Reading. Elected Member of the Royal Academy of Arts in March 2010. Exhibited nationally and internationally, at Serpentine Gallery, London; John Moores, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool; Whitechapel Gallery, London; Hayward Gallery, London and Barbican, London as well as solo shows in Tokyo and New York.
